Sound Healing

Sound moves where words cannot.

What is sound healing?

Sound healing is one of the oldest forms of healing known to humanity — and once you have experienced it, it is easy to understand why.

A sound healing session works by using specific instruments and their vibrations to bring the body and mind into a state of deep rest. When we are truly at rest, the body's natural capacity to heal is given space to do its work. It is that simple, and that profound.

In a session with me you will lie down, close your eyes and be bathed in sound. I play crystal singing bowls and Himalayan metal bowls — each with their own unique tone and resonance — allowing the vibrations to wash over you and move through you. I am also currently learning the harmonium, whose warm, continuous sound adds a beautiful depth to the experience.

Many people find sound healing to be one of the most deeply relaxing experiences they have ever had. Some drift into a sleep-like state, some experience emotions rising to the surface, and some simply feel a profound sense of stillness that is hard to find anywhere else in daily life.

There is nothing you need to do. Nothing to think about. You just receive.

This is for you if…

  • You struggle to switch off or find it hard to relax.
  • You are carrying stress or tension in your body.
  • You want a deeply restorative experience with no effort required.
  • You are curious and simply want to see what it feels like.
  • You are looking for something that works on a level beyond words.

What to expect

A sound healing session with me lasts around 90 minutes. Everything within that time is designed to help you feel completely at ease.

When you arrive you will be welcomed into a calm, prepared space. We begin with a few minutes to settle — a chance to arrive, breathe and let the day fall away.

From there you will lie down, close your eyes and simply receive. The bowls surround you and the sound does the work. I move through the crystal singing bowls and Himalayan metal bowls, allowing the vibrations to build, shift and carry you into a deep state of rest.

Afterwards there is time to come back slowly and gently before you leave. Most people need a few quiet minutes — there is no rush.

What to bring

Wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you have an eye mask, bring it along — it can deepen the experience. Try not to eat a heavy meal beforehand.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any experience?
None at all. Sound healing requires nothing from you except a willingness to lie down and let go.
What does it feel like?
Most people describe it as deeply relaxing — some drift into a sleep-like state, others feel emotions surface gently, and some simply feel very still and very calm. All of it is welcome.
Is it safe?
Sound healing is gentle and suitable for most people. If you have a pacemaker, are pregnant, or have any concerns, please get in touch before booking.
How will I feel afterwards?
Most people leave feeling deeply rested, calm and lighter. Some people find they sleep particularly well that night. Occasionally emotions continue to surface over the following day or two as things integrate — this is completely normal.
Can I fall asleep?
Absolutely. It happens often and it is a sign your body is doing exactly what it needs to do.
